Here's everything you need to know about ordering a cake with us. If you have any questions please do get in touch!
1. SAVE THE DATE
If you'd like me to make your dream wedding cake, please get in touch to secure your date. During busy periods (summer and weekends) I do get booked up quite far in advance so it's best to book early to avoid disappointment.
In order to secure your booking I ask for a £100 deposit payable by bank transfer. Once this is paid, your wedding date is confirmed and the remaining balance is then due up to 28 days before your big day. Please note, I cannot hold your date until I have received your deposit.
2. CONSULTATION & TASTING
I offer consultations for everyone that books with me. This also includes a cake tasting for orders over £350, where you can try 3-4 of my most popular flavours.
Please feel free to bring any fabric swatches, photos, stationery, Pinterest boards or anything else that inspires you! However if you have no idea of what you would like for your cake – don’t worry! I can help you decide on size, design etc.
If you have not booked with me yet, I would be more than happy to arrange a consultation. I charge a small fee of £25 and this is deducted from your final bill if you do go ahead and book with me.
Consultations are for a maximum of 2 people and are held at my home in Wantage. They usually last approximately 45-60 minutes.
3. YOUR QUOTE
Following your consultation, I will send you a detailed quote with your final design and flavour choices. Your quote will include your final balance which is then due 28 days before your big day.
Many couples choose to hire a cake stand and I have a wide range of designs to complement your cake. I charge £25 for cake stand hire and also ask for a safety deposit of £70 (this is refunded when you return the stand to me).
4. YOUR BIG DAY
I will liaise directly with your venue and deliver & set-up your wedding cake on the morning of your wedding (or whatever time suites).
Delivery is free for the first 10 miles (from OX12). Delivery to venues further afield will be charged at £1 per mile (round-trip).
If you have hired one of my cake stands, please remember the stand will need to be returned to me (OX12) within 5 days of your wedding.
